Had Alfie, Gem, Xev & Tilly all entered in the intro class. Alfie hasn't been jumped in yonks. Mum was to ride him, and they did a lovely dressage test:
However as they hadn't had a chance to do any jumping at all this season he was very green over his fences. I took him for a quick jaunt H/C around the showjumping, but we decided he really needs to get some grids and practise outings into him again to remind him what it's all about.
It was good for him to have another outing though, and he was going very kindly. This weekend also gave Mum and I a chance to finally swap trucks over. That means that Mum will have an easier time getting Alfie out to a few different places on weeknights (somewhere dry to ride! and perhaps get a few jumps or trotting poles in). Alfie's next outing should be Belmont on Saturday for some flat classes.
